Unveiling the Power of F.E.E.D. Your Bliss: What Does It Really Mean?

When I first registered for an LLC last year, I took some time deliberating on what to call it. I wanted the name to be unique and on-brand with my life-long mission, but also vague enough to encompass many types of services, so I was not limited in what I could provide. In college, I invented a religion called "Jovialism,” which preaches that the point of life is to exude joy and live a joyful life. It seemed appropriate to include the word "joy" in the business name.

One particularly slow day while living at my parents' house, researching various ancient philosophies on how to achieve or define joy, I stumbled upon the phrase "eudaimonic happiness," published by Aristotle in the fourth century BC. Basically, it's an idea where a heightened state of happiness or joy can only be achieved when you are striving towards self-realization AND you have found your purpose in life. This phrase fascinated me and I could not stop reading about it and how to achieve it. Through my research, I came up with five strategies to help find eudaimonic happiness daily:

  1. Stay mindful - live in the NOW

  2. Accept and love your ENTIRE self

  3. Cultivate positive relationships

  4. Live a purposeful life

  5. Invest in your passions

In an aha moment (read: Divine intervention), I thought of an acronym using my new-found favorite word: Find your Eudaimonic and Energetic Divinity.

F.E.E.D. Your Joy - what a perfect name for my first business! Unbeknownst to me, that name was an already-existing LLC in the state of North Carolina for what appears to be a catering business. Thus, my application was rejected and I had to come up with a different name. Sitting at my brother's house, I was rattling off synonyms for joy… amusement, bliss, charm, cheer, comfort, delight, elation, glee, humor, pride, satisfaction, wonder. My sister-in-law said "I like bliss!" And, right then and there, I resubmitted the application as "F.E.E.D. Your Bliss" - woohoo!

I didn't realize the massive implication of changing the word from joy to bliss would have until I found myself reading Dr. Joe Dispenza's book, Becoming Supernatural almost 7 months later. How do we live a purposeful life? How do we channel Divinity through our souls every day? How do we step into the highest version of self? How do we F.E.E.D. our bliss?  In chapter two, Dr. Dispenza introduces the quantum physics theory that everyone and everything is energy. All energetic frequencies have different vibrations, and certain frequencies attract those same frequencies. For example, someone reeling in shame and living consistently in guilt will not attract loving and fulfilling relationships.

Using our emotions, we can better understand the energetic frequency we are emitting, and therefore what we are attracting. Paying attention to how much time we are living in survival emotions (victimization, pain, and lust) vs elevated emotions (joy, love, and freedom) can show us what we’re bringing into our lives. The best way to start attracting positive connections, purposeful careers, and holistic well-being is to increase our emotional frequency. Based on Figure 2.2 in Becoming Supernatural, bliss happens to be the highest frequency emotion we can channel.

Feeding your bliss is indeed the best thing to do to attract your highest good. I’m so proud of the name of my LLC and I’m so excited to help people like you strengthen your sense of purpose, increase your well-being, and to F.E.E.D. your bliss!

Dannie, you are on a beautiful, creative and highly important path to be in service to people who are looking to find the reason to “get up in the morning” and to be the best they can be. I’m going to connect my godson Ben to not only to you’re work but also to Joe Dispenza’s catalog of books and presentations.

I wish you all the best and I look forward to seeing where you go on this journey and all the people you positively affect.
