The Importance of Physical Well-being.

Eat foods that fuel your body and move every day.

There's no "easy" button when it comes to our overall health and wellness and certainly no magic pill. What works for one person, may not work for another. It's so important to listen to your body and intuition to do what feels good for YOUR body. Fueling ourselves with whole foods and exercising consistently (doing something that you find FUN!) will result in long-lasting change. In 2020, I started exercising with at-home workouts and slowly changing my diet to eliminate processed foods, balancing food groups, and most importantly listening to my body. Ultimately, I lost close to 55-60 pounds, but beyond weight loss I gained so much more. For me, this is how I began focusing on all the other aspects of my well-being and eventually reconnecting with my spirituality.

It's amazing how much can change when we start by focusing on what we put in our body. The typical American diet is full of processed food with a lot of harmful chemicals. When we focus on eating foods WITH a shelf life our entire life can completely transform. Huge progress takes time, it won't happen overnight or in one 3-4 week period. Don't get discouraged, stay true to what FEELS good, and you can do anything you set your mind to.

Whole Foods Diet

Shop the Perimeter of the Grocery Store

Avoid processed foods, think food that comes in a package. It's so important to eat from all food groups and not to eliminate food. Once we tell ourselves we "can't" have something, that's when we want it the most! So I don't promote deprivation, I promote paying attention to how you feel. Focus on eating foods you love and what makes you smile while prioritizing healthy fats, vegetables, fruits, proteins, and complex carbs. Changing your diet can feel overwhelming, so let's work together to come up with a plan that will work for you!

Moving Our Bodies

Adding movement to your daily practice is so important! It's too easy to spend most of our days indoors sedentary. Intentionally creating time and space in our days to move our bodies is a huge part of our well-being. Find a form of exercise that you ENJOY! You'll never stick with a routine if it's not making you happy. So find something that brings you joy. Some examples of movement to incorporate in your daily practice: yoga, hiking / nature walks, weight lifting, running or walking, swimming, high intensity interval training (HIIT), dancing, pilates, playing with kids, etc.
